Dreams
Dear Friend,
Dreams are such odd things, don't you think?
To start with, you always need to clarify what sort of dream it was:
Aspirations?
While sleeping?
A daydream?
Each of those are perceived differently when we talked about them.
Aspirations are looked on as always being positive and something you can achieve if you put your mind to it, while daydreams are flights of fancy left unspoken and often not acted on.
Dreams while sleeping encompass many things, but once again a person is judged for their unconscious thoughts as if they had made them intentionally - you always get blamed for your own dreams or the assumption that you have to work them out.
That last point is interesting because I have been having a series of progressive dreams involving a person with whom a prior relationship ended with their refusal to reconcile. These dreams had happened since the incident in 2013 and have gone from knowing the person was there but being unable to see and hear them, to telling them directly that I'm not angry and they can hold a conversation with me without being all shifty and guilty.
Of course, I would greatly appreciate this conversation in real life but I doubt it will happen.
I have other dreams too, of places that I feel ought to exist somewhere because of how they are comprised of so many familiar elements.
You know how people say when a person is in your dream it's because they miss you - or that they see you as well?
I'm very curious to know if that is true or not.
My sister and I once had an identical dream as children.
I can still remember it.
